Exchange Students - Guide in English    Academic Information Academic Calendar Admission to UCC  Enrollment at UCC (When in Córdoba)  Careers and Courses  Courses organized by Área de Intercambio Académico  Orientation Program  Housing  Tuition Fees  Health  Student VISAS _____________________________ Academic Information Students wishing to come to UCC for a semester or a full-year exchange are expected to meet the following requirements: To have completed at least the first two years of their career. To have 7 points** (or equivalent mark in their university’s grading system) as GPA (including the failed exams) for all the courses taken up to the period of their exchange. At UCC the grading system ranges from 1 to 10, where 10 is the highest mark and 4 is the passing mark. To give proof of competence in Spanish by submitting certificates for 5 semesters of university-level Spanish courses. In case you cannot fulfill this requirement, you're expected to take the pre-session Intensive Spanish Course either in february or july. ** Students of Agronomy, Architecture, Business Administration, Chemistry, Economics, Education or Law  should have a minimum GPA between 6 and 6,99 points. These applications will be forwarded to the Dean of the respective academic unit to determine their admission. Students who meet these requirements must complete the on line application forms, print them, have them signed and sealed by an authority from the university and send them to UCC along with the other documents required according to their status as exchange students (students from universities that are/ are not UCC partners, Double Degree students, ISEP students). The deadline for receiving all their paperwork at UCC is 30th October (for students coming in March) and 30th April (for students coming in August). This program consists of four 3-hour-a-day sessions during which participants will meet one another and be given an explanation on university procedures for enrollment, grading system, and class schedules. A tour of campus will help students get acquainted with UCC facilities and information on tourist sights in downtown, and on academic, cultural, athletics, commercial, and tourist activities will be provided. _____________________________ Housing  Universidad Católica de Córdoba does not have its own dormitories or residences for exchange students. However, the Área de Intercambio Académico (AIA) has a housing database from which students might choose where they would like to live during their stay in Córdoba. These lodging options are available at different prices depending on the distance from the center of the city, the housing facilities, the meals included, the rooms (single or shared), etc. At the moment, the cost for a room and board is approximately $ 2,500 (Argentine pesos) per month. Students might also prefer to book accommodation without any meals included. In this case, the prices vary between 950 and 1.300 Argentine pesos per month. Students are expected to choose an accommodation according to their own preferences, by contacting the host family or residence by e-mail or phone and making their own reservations. Students must communicate their reservation to the AIA (secderex@uccor.edu.ar) at least one month before the official arrival date. Universidad Católica de Córdoba does not assume any civil, criminal, and administrative responsibility as well as any other responsibility related to lodging. The UCC will not be liable for any claim or loss that any of the parties may incur. _____________________________ Tuition Fees  Students coming from universities that are not UCC partners can apply as international students without an agreement and have to pay for the registration and tuition fees. The registration fee ($ 3.400 pesos argentinos/USD 750 approx.)* must be paid at the beginning of the exchange period. Only students who have paid for the registration fee are able to enrol in the courses they are interested in. The monthly tuition fee is also ($ 3.400 pesos argentinos/USD 750 approx.)*. You must pay five or ten instalments depending on whether yours is a semester-long or a full year exchange. In order to be able to enrol in the final examinations at the end of each course, you must have paid all the instalments. *amount subject to change. A copy of this policy will be required before enrolling at UCC. Medical assistance in emergencies after class hours will be covered by an additional insurance policy (URGENCIAS MÉDICAS) which students must  get  immediately after arriving in Cordoba. During the Exchange Program, Universidad Católica de Córdoba provides medical service in town at the University Clinic "Reina Fabiola" (Jacinto Ríos 571, B° General Paz / Phones: (351) 414 2121). There is also a medical consulting room on campus to assist students during class hours.  Incoming exchange student will be required to pay the followings fees** upon arrival: $ 600 (semester students) $1.000 (full year students) $300 (Praktikum; 1 month PFO) ** This fee includes an Emergency Medical Services Policy, a Civil Liability Insurance, a Personal accident insurance policy  and other administrative expenses. Therefore, it is not necessary for the students to get a student visa in their home country as this can be obtained in here. When they get to our city, we will instruct them how to proceed. It is important that they pay special attention to the chart on the documentation demanded by Migrations for issuing the visa so that they can bring it with them:   STUDENTS BORN IN MERCOSUR AND ASSOCIATE COUNTRIES STUDENTS BORN OUTSIDE MERCOSUR AND ASSOCIATE COUNTRIES WHO DO NOT NEED A VISA TO ENTER ARGENTINA  AS TOURISTS STUDENTS BORN OUTSIDE MERCOSUR AND ASSOCIATE COUNTRIES WHO NEED A VISA TO ENTER ARGENTINA AS TOURISTS SEMESTER STUDENTS Must bring a National Police Record issued in their home country or in the countries where they lived in the last three years.
